Taking Care of Type 2 Hair:

Type 2A and 2B should wash their hair every 2-3 days and every 3-5 days for 2C. Type 2 hair’s main focus should be taming frizz and maintaining the integrity of the curl without weighing them down or making them look crunchy. Thick products are not recommended for this hair type, moose and curl gel may help with styling and maintaining hair.

Taking Care of Type 3 Hair:

With type 3 hair you should wash your hair with shampoo twice a month so that the shampoo does not shed your hair. Deep conditioning should be done at least every week or bi-weekly. When working with oils or thicker products it is important to pay attention to the amount you are layering your hair with everyday, if a product is building too much onto your hair you should look into lighter products that work best for your hair type and texture.

Taking Care of Type 4 Hair:

When dealing with type 4 hair, like type 3 you should only be washing your hair with shampoo once or twice a month depending on styles and build up. Deep Conditioning should be done the same as well, the difference between the two comes from needing to make sure you are moisturizing your hair daily because of the thickness of the hair it is best to make sure that you are using products that are able to lock in moisture.
